Description: White marble statue base shaft, without moulding (w: 0.57 × h: 1.14 × d: 0.56); the stone is complete, but has been chipped on the right side since it was first recorded.

Text: Inscribed on the face; the text must have begun on a crowning feature.

Letters: Lines 1-11, 0.025; lines 12 following, 0.02.

[Imperator Caesar Marcus Aurelius Severus] Antoninus Augustus, the greatest, son of the greatest and most divine Imperator Caesar Lucius Septimius Severus Pertinax Augustus Pius, conqueror of the Arabs, conqueror of the Adiabenes, conqueror of the Parthians: the People (put up his statue) from the bequest of Flavius Attalos. The magistrates Ammianos son of Papias the son of Papias, the son of Marion Papias, and Epaphroditos, son of Marcus Antonius Epaphroditos, and Papias, (son of Papias, son of Papias) the son of Diogenes, and Kallimorphos son of Kallimorphos the son of Artemidoros, and Menandros, son of Menandros, the son of Krateros, took responsibility.

Commentary

Another statue of Caracalla (12.641), and one of Julia Domna (12.642), were set up from the same bequest.
