Description: A plain white marble statue base shaft (w: 0.54 × h: 1.28 × d: 0.50).

Text: Inscribed on the face.

Letters: Lines 1-10, 0.045; lines 11 f., 0.025. Circular stops before and after ΑΥΡ.

Date: A.D. 211-217 (Reign)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Walls, South (east part): reused in the stretch excavated in 1975.

Translation

Julia Augusta mother of the military camps: the People (put up the statue of) their benefactress, from the bequest of Flavius Attalos. Marcus Aurelius Chresimos son of Apollonios took responsibility.

Commentary

12.641 which is a pair to this, was found in the same area; a further statue of Caracalla 12.326 was set up from the same bequest.
