[? The sarcophagus belongs to name and his wife, adoptive daughter of name, son] of Phoibos, natural daughter of Menandros, second of the name after Agathopous Ma[ ..c. 10 ..] and their surviving
children. No one else shall bury in the sarcophagus since whoever has acted contrary to this is to be considered sacrilegious,
accursed and a tomb-breaker, and furthermore is to pay to the sacred treasury (i.e. at Rome) 3000 denarii, of which one third
is to belong to the prosecutor. A copy of this inscribed text was deposited in the civic archive in the eleventh stephanephorate
of Attalis, daughter of Menekrates, fifth month.
