English translation

Translation by: Joyce M. Reynolds

Decision of the Council, proposal of the generals and of Demeas son of Menekrates, secretary of the People: since Apphias, daughter of Timotheos, one of the women citizens, and wife of Agelaos son of Menestheus, has now departed this life, the decision was to praise her also/even after death and to give her a public funeral, and for the People to crown her with a gold crown, she having lived in a well-regulated and decorous and virtuous manner, [and for her husband,] Ag[elaos son of Menestheur, to be con]soled.
