12.311. Funerary inscription and honours for Attalos son of Attalos

Description: White marble block chipped along the upper edge and still partly buried (visible w: 1.13 × h: 0.38 × d: 0.62).

Text: Inscribed on the face.

Letters: Early, probably first century CE; ave. 0.018. pi with a short second upright; rho with a small stroke from the lower junction of the bowll with the upright; serifs small and not invariably used; lineation uneven.

Date: First century CE (lettering)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: built face-upwards into Walls, East stretch (south part), south of the entrance to the site, near 12.328, 12.320.
