11.415. Monograms of donors(?), Mamas and Pakos

Description: Two flat-sided white marble column capitals, each inscribed on the long side, a: w: 1.10 × h: 0.55; b: w: 1.20 × h: 0.50.

Text: Arranged around a cross.

Letters: Clearly cut, with triangular trenches; a: 0.035; b: 0.02.

Date: Sixth century CE, or later (form of monogram).

Findspot: Aphrodisias: City, South-west: lying on the surface of a ploughed field just inside the south-east stretch of the city walls.

Original location: Unknown
