of Demetrios, [descended from ancestors who were ...] and distinguished, and especially [... having] chosen a well-ordered
[life ... and] filled [with every] virtue; [and whereas] he [has now . . . ] passed away; and the People [sharing in? the
gri]ef of his parents [......] toward the deceased [...]; it was unanimously decided to honor [him with the] fitting honors.
It has been decreed by the Council and the] People that Artemidoros, the aforementioned be praised and honoured. [Let there
be set up for him] both a painted portrait on a gilded shield and a stele of white stone [...] in a public place, upon which
[it shall be insc]ribed: "The Council and the People honored Artemidoros, son of Dionysios, grandson of Demetrios, a man noble
