12.1014. Building inscription, by a man and wife

Description: Three white marble architrave blocks :h: 0.045 × d: 0.55-0.60) x length, a: complete 1.15; b, broken at right end 1.47; c. ?complete. 1.26

Text: Inscribed in one line on the singe fascia, 0.14.

Letters: 0.07-0.09

Date: Second to third centuries CE (lettering)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Walls, West Gate: a. and b. reused adjacent to one another (b. to the right of a.), with the inscribed face inwards, to form a course, in the upper part of the West Gate. It is very probable that these blocks come from the same building as 12.1006 (which was also reused in the construction of the West gate) and come from one of the buildings described in that text.
