but had disappeared by 1934, since when there has only been minor damage. ii was not previously recorded

English translation
Translation by: Joyce M. Reynolds
The Council and the People honoured Jason Prabreas, son of Menodotos the son of Menander, a fine and good man of a prominent
family which is glorious and one which contributed to the founding of the fatherland; he was a high-souled and glorious gymnasiarch
and stephanephoros, a high priest of the Augusti and twice president of gamnes; he completed at his own expense for the archive
building, together with Julia Paula his wife, the whole of the surrounding portico of the south stoa from the foundations,
and the hall within it with its ?decoration and its libraries and the two two-storeyed workshops; and of the eastern portico
from the foundations eight pairs of columns, and eight pairs of columns transferred, according to the decree, from the old
portico; and of the western portico one pair of columns, adding the capitals to all the columns of this portico; and to all
the columns adding the architraves and the sculpted panels (i.e. with animal/floral decoration) and the cornices; and adding
to five of its columns which had only [?] all the remaining column-drums; and for the northern hall and the exedra he (scil. had) made all the missing white marble elements with the roofs and the columns and libraries in the hall and the stucco-work
and all the rest; and he completed nineteen (?) workshops with those in the exedra; and for the whole peristyle he provided
rafters and tiling and a roof, and it was completed by him at his own expense together with all the building's doorways.
