11.501. Gladiator memorial for Secundus

Description: A white marble altar-stele with moulding above and below on three sides (w: 0.43 × h: 0.865 × d: 0.37). The relief, worn, is of a gladiator with a long shield, advancing to his left; his right arm is bent, but whatever it held is lost. On the face in front of the figure is the outline of ?a palm branch. For a full description see Kontokosta (2008).
