Translation

... belongs] with all the legal rights pertaining to it to Aurelia Menandris, daughter of Menandros, son of Molossos, son of Molossos, son of Diogenes; in which sarcophagus has been buried Aurelius Philokapos, son of Philokapos, son of Korymbos, her husband. And there shall also be buried (scil. there) both Menandris herself and Philokapos III (i.e. son of Philokapos son of Philokapos), son of Korymbos, their son. But no one else shall have the authority either to bury anyone in the sarcophagus or to exhume those within it, Since anyone who does such a thing, let him be (scil. considered) impious, accursed, and a tomb-robber, and let him pay in addition to the Goddess Aphrodite and for honours (i.e. statues) of the Emperors [ . . . ] denarii, of which one third shall belong to the legal prosecutor. In the aforementioned two niches (eisostai) shall be buried whomever Menandris wishes or ordains. A copy of this inscription was deposited in the property archive (chreophylakion) during the 7th term as stephanephoros of Claudius Diogenes, in the month of Gorpiaios.
