2.108. Fragmentary honours(?) from Bouleuterion/Odeon

Description: One loose (w: 0.20 × h: 0.15 × d: 0.27) and two joining white marble fragments (w: 0.29 × h: 0.14 × d: 0.23) from the lower edge of a ?statue base, with a simple rectangular moulding below. The left face survives with a more elaborate moulding.

Text: Inscribed on the face above the moulding.

Letters: Rather crude; 0.05; lunate epsilon.

Date: Second to third centuries CE (lettering)

Findspot: Aphrodisias, Bouleuterion/Odeon, Odeon store: perhaps from Temple.

Original location: Unknown

Last recorded location: Museum (M. Roueché, 2004)
