1.19. Prayers of Asterios and Leon

Description: Masonry block in the wall of the Temple-Church.

Text: Block 2 is to the left/west of Block 1. There are three measures marked out on the wall: Block 1, a: To the right of text i; well cut, 0.29, surmounted by a cross. Block 2, b: To the left of text ii, worn at the left; at least 0.60. The third is on the 5th block to east with a central divide - 0.62, divided into two spans of roughly 0.305.

Letters: ; i: 0.04-0.09, deep and clear; ii 0.045, roughly cut

Date: Fifth to sixth centuries or later (lettering, content)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Temple/Church: External wall, on a block in the outer face of the south wall, towards the east end.

Original location: Temple/Church: findspot.

Last recorded location: Findspot.
