15.381. Funerary inscription

Description: Top left hand corner of a white marble block moulded along the edges (w: 0.42 × h: 0.25 × d: 0.22), broken into two (adjoining) parts.

Text: Inscribed on the face, in the panel inset by the moulding; the text appears to be centred.

Letters: Finely cut, standard forms; line 1, 0.04; line 2, 0.03, lines 3-4, 0.025. Circular stop after ΚΑΡΜ in line 2.

Date: Second to third centuries CE (lettering)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Stray find.
