13.402. Dedication of a foundation by Titus Aelius [---]]dianos

Description: White marble block incorporating a simple moulding, (w: 1.02 × h: 0.48 × d: 0.33). Part of a composite monument; the probable restoration of line 2 strongly suggests that a block of equal size constituted the missing right half of the monument.

Text: Inscribed on one face, in two planes.

Letters: Lines 1,2, 0.032; line 3, 0.035.

Date: Second to third centuries CE (lettering)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Necropolis, South area: south of the south city wall, in a field wall, next to 13.406
