13.119. Votive dedication by children of Hermias

Description: A white marble altar (w: 0.305 wide at top, w: 0.265 centre,w: 0.35 at base × h: 0.84 × d: 0.56) with moulding above and below on three sides, which has been cut away on the left side. The back is rough.

Text: Inscribed (line 1) on the upper moulding, and (lines 2-5) on the face, above a relief of a swag with a pendant object.

Letters: 0.0175–0.024; square sigma, lunate omega

Date: First to third centuries CE (terminology)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Necropolis, North-east: Turkish cemetery, re-used in the east wall
