12.544. Dedication of two gladiators to Nemesis

Description: Fragment of a marble votive base broken at the top, the sides and below: w: 0.30 × h: 0.15 × d: 0.025. In the centre in relief a pair of ears flanking a palm branch, to the right a wreath. For a full description see Kontokosta (2008).

Text: Inscribed to the left of the relief.

Letters: Lines 1- 4 0.015, with traces of red paint in the letters; lines 5-6 in a different hand, 0.01.

Date: Second century CE (lettering)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Walls, reused in the South-east stretch.
