8.278. Decree of honours for Hephaistion

Description: Two fragments - not joining - from a low white marble statue base, which has clearly been worked for re-use. a: left side, a block with an area cut away at the top left and damaged at the lower right corner (w: 0.96 × h: 0.43 × d: 0.56). b: right side, a rectangular block chipped along all edges and damaged at the lower right corner (w: 1.46 × h: 0.44 × d: 0.61).

Text: Inscribed on the face at the right end on an area whose surface is badly damaged.
