5.123. Imperial document

Description: Six fragments (some composite) from an inscribed panel, part of whose surface was later plastered. a: fragment with upper edge surviving and a small upper moulding on the back; there is a space above the lettering (w: 0.21 × h: 0.22 × d: 0.035). b: Two joining pieces (w: 0.165 × h: 0.14 × d: 0.03-0.035) from upper left corner, with upper corner of moulding on back. Edges chipped. c: Three joining pieces (w: 0.165 × h: 0.18 × d: 0.03) from left edge, which is chipped; moulding survives on back. d: Fragment with lower edge surviving (w: 0.195 × h: 0.05 × d: 0.03); on the back there is moulding at the left edge, suggesting that this is from a lower left corner. e: Fragment without edges (w: 0.11 × h: 0.125 × d: 0.03). f: fragment with right side surviving (w: 0.16 × h: 0.172 × d: 0.035) there is a margin and a slightly raised border at the right. There is also a hole in the right edge for a pin to attach the panel to ?a wall.
