The gerousia and the council and the people honoured with the fairest and greatest honours Timokles, son of Apollonios, grandson
of Hypsikles, a prudent man, good and virtuous man, belonging to one of the foremost and most distinguished families, who
served as gymnasiarchos and stephanephoros with magnanimity and generosity, who served as a high priest of the emperor, and as agonothetes, who offered a banquet to the people, and who did everything in a generous, most brilliant and most sumptuous manner, spending
his own funds, in a manner worthy and fitting to his fatherland and his kin.
