4.113. Votive to Asklepios

Description: A small white marble moulded base, oval with flattened back (0.85 at base – 0.65 above, × 0.35), rather chipped, especially on lower moulding; remains of metal channel, for an attachment, towards the right side of the top.

Text: Inscribed on the moulding at the front.

Letters: Some cursive influences: 0.05-0.08; square sigma, lunate omega.

Date: Perhaps early first or second century CE (lettering)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Place of Palms/South Agora, Pool: during excavation of the south-west section 'P. of T. WII-90'.
