Date: Early third century (contests)

Findspot: Aphrodisias: Temple/Church: re-used, with other inscribed bases, as vertical elements to support the bema/chancel barrier of the Temple-church; that screen, which reused elements of an early Byzantine balustrade, was probably constructed in the ninth or tenth century.

Zenon Aeneas son of Zenon son of Chares son of Zenon, of leading family and rank in the city, sacred victor, frequent victor, extraordinary, boy wrestler. Menestheus Isobounos, son of Apollonios son of Menestheus Papias, chief neopoios of the goddess Aphrodite (put up the statue of) his kinsman, out of his own resources, as he promised while he was agonothete.
